Factor BasisSize (Market Cap), Sector/Theme
UniverseNifty 500
WeightageFree-Float Market Cap Weighting; 50% weight to Large Cap stocks, 25% weight to MidCap stocks and 25% weight SmallCap stocks. Stocks are first ranked by FF market cap, then ranked and selected for each segment within the Size Segment Allocation criteria.
Stocks IncludedCompanies are chosen from the industries related to the Infrastructure theme. 15 companies from large cap universe (stocks forming part of the Nifty 100), 25 companies from mid cap universe (stocks forming part of the Nifty Midcap 150) and 35 companies from small cap universe (stocks forming part of the Nifty Smallcap 250) based on free-float market capitalization from the eligible universe with preference to stocks that are available for trading on NSE’s F&O segment
ExclusionsConstituents moving out of the Nifty 500 and currently part of theNifty500 Multicap India Manufacturing 50 30 20 are excluded; Smallest Member non-F&O constituent to be excluded if Non-Member F&O stock within a segment is eligbile for inclusion; Smallest F&O member is excluded if a non-member F&O stock becomes eligible and is at least 1.5x FF market cap of the former in that segment; Rank of eligible stocks in each size segment falls beyond 15, 25 and 35 for Lare, Mid, Small segments respectively.
